About the Artist
Inga Prasse was born in Dresden, Germany, in 1994.
The artist focuses on photorealistic paintings in oil or chalk, which often capture special moods, stories or moments based on themes. She likes to combine her work with interdisciplinary projects in which she combines art with technology, animation or literature in a variety of ways and allows other people to participate in the creative process.
In recent years, Inga Prasse has taken part in group exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Switzerland and has had a solo exhibition at Villa Mare in Travemünde. She has been selling her commissioned paintings throughout Europe since 2015.
She was a semi-finalist at the Swiss Art Expo in 2022 with her first oil portrait „Möglichkeiten“. In 2021, her action artwork „Jellyfish and Mask“ was exhibited at the Museum of Nature and Environment in Lübeck, in 2022 in the exhibition „Of Rivers and Sea“, whenever she was not working on it.
Her art projects „FahnenMeer“ for the Verein für Kunst un Kultur zu Travemünde e.V. and „Buchstabensport“, a cooperation project with the writer Dieter Nickel for the KünstlerGemeinschaft Travemünde e.V., were funded by the Drägerstiftung. Her children’s book „Abgetaucht – Mission Ostsee“ and the art project „Unterwasserspaziergang in der Ostsee“ were funded by the Possehlstiftung as part of Kulturfunke.
