About the Artist

Inga Prasse was born in Dresden, Germany in 1994. She discovered her passion for portraits and realistic oil painting at an early age. After secondary school, she decided to study to become an occupational therapist. During her studies, she learned to paint with pastels for the first time, which inspired her. So she decided to go her own way: she broke off her studies and opted for an autodidactic training, deepened her knowledge of oil painting and began to paint photorealistic portraits with pastels. After painting mainly commissioned paintings in the first few years, she decided in 2022 to paint what touches and inspires her, namely portraits that capture special moods, moments and stories.

In recent years, Inga Prasse has participated in group exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Switzerland and had a solo exhibition at Villa Mare in Travemünde.

She was also a semi-finalist at the Swiss Art Expo in 2022 with her first oil portrait „Possibilities“. In 2021 was her action art work „Jellyfish and Mask“ exhibited in the Museum of Nature and Environment in Lübeck in 2022 in the exhibition „Of Rivers and Sea“ whenever she was not working on it.
