Reading Is Colourful

As part of a project by the KünstlerGemeinschaft Travemünde (Travemünde Artists’ Collective), funded by the Dräger Foundation, Inga Prasse worked in 2025 with writer Dieter Nickel and children’s songwriter Dirk Paulsen on the children’s art project “Lesen ist bunt” (Reading Is Colourful).

Over ten workshop weekends, she and eight children from Lübeck created the animated music video for the song “Buchstabensport” (Letter Sports). The children’s song was released on World Book Day and came out of a collaboration between writer Dieter Nickel and children’s singer Dirk Paulsen.

The story “Lesen ist bunt” was published alongside the music video. It was written by Dieter Nickel and illustrated by Inga Prasse and the children.
